Leland, NC - Brunswick Regional Water & Sewer H2GO has issued a Stage 4 Water Shortage Alert.  Excessive customer irrigation has continued to increase over the past several weeks putting the water system at capacity and threatening the integrity of water supply wells. 
 
Effective immediately, and until further notice, all irrigation is prohibited.  All non-essential water use is prohibited.  Non-compliance may result in civil penalties.
 
The purpose of this Alert is to maintain and protect the public health, safety, and welfare of H2GO customers by establishing short and long-term conservation strategies to effectively manage H2GO’s water resource supplies.
 
H2GO will evaluate daily water demands, system capacities, water supply well recovery rates, and precipitation to determine sustainable customer usage and possible easing of irrigation restrictions.
