Press Release - Stage 2 Water Conservation Alert
9/18/2024 9:55:44 AM
Leland, NC - In response to the Stage 4 Water Conservation Alert issued on June 19th, H2GO customers’ efforts to restrict irrigation over the past 10 days have significantly reduced daily water demands – a 48% reduction. Therefore, effective July 1st, Brunswick Regional Water & Sewer H2GO is adjusting water restrictions to a Stage 2 Water Conservation Response. The Stage 2 Response applies to spray irrigation and will remain in effect until further notice.
Odd numbered property addresses are permitted to irrigate on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and even numbered property addresses are permitted to irrigate on Wednesdays and Sundays. Irrigation is restricted to evening and early morning hours between 8:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. Daytime irrigation is prohibited, and there should be no irrigation on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
H2GO will continue to evaluate daily water demands, system capacities, water supply well recovery rates, and precipitation to determine sustainable customer usage and possible easing of irrigation restrictions.
Please visit H2GO’s web site for Water Conservation measures, and to view voluntary and mandatory water restrictions prescribed by H2GO’s Water Shortage Response Plan.
Thank you for your cooperation.
